I AM More Than...

In this PBS documentary series, “I Am More Than,” Helen Raleigh shares her life stories. She is a wife, mother, and advocate whose story begins with immigrating from communist China for America, where she faced numerous challenges adapting to a new culture and dealing with racial bias. Despite these struggles, she persevered through her hardships; the loss of her newborn son prompted her to become an advocate for mental health and bereavement support for families.
